Long story short, I have an 06 TL non-navi with a dent in the screen right where the radio displays. Still works fine, just a little ugly. Instead of just replacing it with another 06 display, can I just swap out this display with one from an 07? Does anyone know if the connectors would be the same? or any other issues?

I see this one site has an 06 display for $100 or an 07 for $140, so it got me thinking...

Yah, the 07/08 were a little nicer looking. However I seem to remember that its more than just swapping out the display. IIRC connectors were different or something.

Ya, looking at the photos it seems one of the plugs is a little different. I found a couple older threads talking about doing this, but no one said they actually did it. Does anyone have a wiring/pinout diagram of the 06 and 07 to compare?

It looks like the 07 also has a compass in the middle of it. Any ideas on how to get that working too?
