'04 TL Navi Problems -- Any Ideas?

I have a few issues with my Navi and am looking for some ideas other than having the dealer send it (to Alpine?) for $500. Here are my issues:

1. No Voice for directions -- just a steady "crackle" sound.
2. Sometimes the Navi wanders to not where I'm driving.
3. The screen will just go black (every once in a while it may come back on later).
4. Sometimes it will not come on at all - most notably after turning off the car then re-starting (e.g., at the gas station).

Any help is appreciated!
