I'm on deck! Have an '08 screen and DVD player. Just waiting for the screen adaptor from Martin. Besides, that'll fix the calendar/clock issue for those of us with '04/5/6 TL's. A new white disk for 2021 is about to be released in February, so we'll now have up to date Nav info.

I think this may be what we need: https://www.digikey.com/en/products/...S-D3C1/2139599
I ordered one and can let you know if it works.

Also here is a diagram I worked up, use at your own risk:

2004-2006 vs 2007-2008 22P (Green) Connector A Pinout

This connector from digi-key fits. I'll attempt to repin over the weekend.

I already have the '07/8 Nav system successfully installed, but I'd really like to get the Nav Traffic. Does anyone know what wiring changes I'd have to do to make that happen besides getting an '07/8 XM receiver?

Happy holidays everyone!

$50 + $5 shipping. Worth every penny to not have to futz around with plugs.

Has anybody had success?
Recently bought a 04 TL with a 07/08 unit, wanting to verify everything is in order as it has some circuit codes .
Thanks!

I also would like to know if anyone has had any success with re-wiring the harness/pins? I’m looking into buying the 08 Nav and dvd drive. But looking to see if one had done it themselves.

Hi
i went to the junkyard and got a DVD player for a 2007 with the disk
now I see that you need the radio as well
do I also need the harness or do I have to rewire my existing one?

thanks

The '07/08 radio has a different antenna connector and to the best of my knowledge, there's no adapter available to be able to plug it into an '04/5/6 harness. I still would like the Nav Traffic though, but it requires the '07/08 XM receiver which needs extensive wiring harness changes to be able to plug it in.

I've learned to live without the Nav Traffic and the lack of the phonebook connection.

the antenna plug will plug in to the newer DVD player is it something else that won’t work? Like a module?
the newer dvid player had an extra plug and it’s for the back up camera I pull that today from the parts car
