It's been two months since I've had this new system, and I love it.

I bought a Sony MEX DV-2200 DVD/CD player, with Dolby Digital/Pro-Logic II surround sound. It has the exact same features of the TL, except the TL can play DVD-As, and I can play Super Audio CDs. I bought it mainly for the Pro-Logic II feature, which I love.

The stock Accord system, with its six speakers, seemed like there was a hole missing in the sound stage that the TL seemed to have. I wanted that feature, and investigated everything from simply splicing a center speaker into the Accord's stock sound system, to replacing the stock 6CD changer with the TL's 6DVD changer. Nothing was an easy fix.

I decided to go aftermarket, and I'm glad I did. I bought the Sony unit, and installed it under my stock navigation system. I can play DVDs, CDs, mp3s, and it has a connection for an mp3 player.

I also added a center channel speaker and another amplifier for the center channel. Now there seems to be a balance there, right where the hole in the sound stage was.

Well, I switched my center channel to my sub amplifier. Now the center channel works, but I don't have a sub.

Now I may have to pay someone to hook up the sub amp correctly.

It was weird. The center channel amp stopped working. I have no idea why.

I went out and bought another amp, and the same thing happened. Amp went into protect mode, and it won't come out of it.

Now I just stopped having a sub in m car. I felt the center channel was more important.

I did have the "remote" in for both amps connected together, and then connected to the ACC fuse in the cabin fuse panel. I also had the "remote in" on one of the amps connected to the "remote out" on the aftermarket stero, so I suspect that's what the problem was.

However, I took off the connection to one of the amps for the remote in, and that amp stayed on (which the remote in was connected to the aftermarket stereo). The other amp turned off.

I'm not sure what happened, but I'm getting tired of it.

I'm also trying to get my car ready for Cars and Coffee this coming weekend.
