My 08 TL had a blown coil on the passenger door speaker, so while in a pinch I ordered the stock replacement from Acurapartswarehouse.com for like 30 bucks with shipping. When I got it I compared it to the old one, only difference was the country of origin, old one U.S.A (I think), and the new one was "Mexico". Sounded fine for a few weeks then started to hear "popping", so I took the door panel back off to take a look and the surround was almost completely detached from the chassis! I was quite irritated to say the least. I decided to try to glue the surround back onto the chassis with some super glue, but had none, so decided to use the only thing I could find and that was some rubber cement. 3 days now and no popping noise and the sound quality has improved dramatically. If anyone is thinking about going stock for a replacement, might wanna invest in some rubber cement just in case.
