You'll need the antenna.

It's unlikely you can do a partial install.

I would also say to be patient with obtaining all of the parts. Some people out there are really gouging prices. I am working on fitting a vga monitor in place of the stock lcd and just needed one of the boards inside. I know of one place to check but he wanted $150 for the board when that same person has a complete unit starting @ $99 on ebay. I ended up finding the whole unit with a damaged touchscreen for $60 shipped.

When I got my navi unit (dvd drive), I found a dealer that was dumping their stock and got it for $100. This was a boxed warranty repair so it was a refurbished unit, but that was far cheaper than any place else I found.

It is a fun project if you are into tearing out your interior and making wiring connections. Not sure if anyone else mentioned but a Electrical Troubleshooting Manual is also a must.

If you really need that much help with the install, I would contact Martin. He's a little pricey but from what I've read, sells everything you need with instructions. That alone is worth a lot of money.

I spent several hours going over the wiring to make sure I was doing it right. Had the luxury of doing it over a week since I don't drive this car much in the winter.
