ZAINO Experts (Need help regarding application if I'm NOT using the new ZFX cure)
Hey all you Zaino experts.
I need help with an application question regarding Zaino.
I'm applying the product using Z1 Polish Lock and then the Z5 (plan on using Z2 for the finishing coats).
After I have applied the Z1 polish lock, and then applied Z5 over the Z1, my understanding is that I let these two coats dry together and buff them off with a 100% cotton towel.
My question is for the additional coats of Z5 or Z2 that I want to add. If I'm not using the ZXF flash cure system (by mixing it with the Z5 or Z2), do I need to apply another coat of Z1 followed by Z2 over it......or can I simply apply the Z2 directly and let it dry for all remaining coats until I'm satisfied with the shine.
Please help... If I don't have to reapply a coat of Z1 before every coat of Z5 or Z2, it will really save alot of labor.
BTW...I have read the instructions supplied by Zaino and it seems to be unclear for all subsequent coats (Coat 2, 3, 4...etc).

HI!
You are in luck - you do NOT need to use the Z-! again soon. You can continue to apply Z5 or Z2 (as many as you want).
However, after 6 months or so, you need to Z-1 again to re-establish a good bond with the paint.
Enjoy!

Thanks automophile
Thank you so much for the reply!!!
Your description of the Z1 as the step that establishes the good bond to the paint was the critical information that I needed.
I can now just Z5 & Z2 away until my TL's shine blinds the neighbors.
Again....Thanks for clarifying.

You are welcome! We look forward to your rave reviews!
Just remember, this is not wax. You don't need to use a lot. 1-2 oz will do the whole car well. As you get more coats on and the car is more slippery, you will need only 1 oz or less to do the entire car. Have fun!
