Are you kidding me?
I was bored today at work and decided to search for some used TLs. Is it just me or is this type S ridiculously overpriced?

that car been sit up there for at least a year lol, I remember they used to have that car listed with a KBP 25k miles 6spd MT listed for awhile too but I guess they sold the KBP, I wouldn't pay that high for a TL-S.

This dealer is 10 minutes from me. Why the high price? You have to understand the area there, RICH folks. Upper High Class, mansions, $20,000+ a year property taxes etc, so I guess they figure it only takes one idiot to come along, hook, line & sinker.

but the thing is rich people won't pay $32k for a 4 years old car (soon will be 5 years old) used car, they would rather spend extra $10k on a brand new 2012 TL SH-AWD tech or advance packet with ZERO mile on the clock.

Couple of thoughts -
Rich folks have kids that want cars and not necessarily wanting to buy a new car.
Dealer has newer TL and TSX as well as an A4 with less miles for less money, so they likely know what they have in the Type S. Not saying it isn't overpriced, but the Type S isn't a normal run of the mill car.

the TL-S a great car and all but $32k for a almost 5 year old car, thanks but no thanks. i'd rather buy something new with zer0 miles (well under 100, can never get a car from a dealership with zero miles.)

If you're "rich", you wouldn't be looking at a 5 year old car... or an Acura for that matter.
27.5k for one with that mileage and condition is not uncommon for a dealer. $32k is a stretch though.
