xm radio
I've decided that when I get my TL I'll activiate the XM and leave my Sirius service for my home service (via Kenwood Here2Anywhere).
Its unfortunate that I'll have both but I'm unwilling to give up Sirius. Another nice feature of Sirius is the ability to have streaming Audio of all of their stations via my PC at Work. You are given an ID and PW once you become a subscriber.

Dtrose,
You should do what my brother-in-law did. Get the Audiovox PNP2 unit at Best Buy in the form of their "JamPack." You get the PNP unit and a Car docking kit with FM transmitter so no wires. If you buy the Home Kit for the unit you get it free via $50 mail-in rebate. Then all you need is one sat radio subscription for both car and home. It's *really* slick... I am definetly jealous of his setup.

Hey Mike if you have the Audiovox unit, at least the PNP1 or 2, it has a built-in FM transmitter so that you can take it into your car and use it truly plug-n-play, completely wireless. My brother in-law has it (I have the Kenwood unit) and it (the Audiovox PNP2) is *really* slick.
So I guess for those Sirius fans who own the TL they could go with this option and not have to worry about any wires or any installation issues.

The FM transmitter is built in to the car cradle.. not built into the unit. So if I get the car cradle, I can hear it with only an antenna wire running.
I just saw that new Audiovox 2 however I already have the 1
You guys are killing me with these long and detailed posts. All I can say in defense of XM is they are playing a lot of amazing songs off some of the best records in the deep and expansive library of rock and roll music. I am thrilled with the stuff I'm hearing like epic Genesis and Yes music, Frank Zappa, King Krimson, Roberto Fripp, Brian Eno, Pink Floyd, and much much more.
I can't imagine what more I could hope for, except it would be great to get National Public Radio stations like I hear Sirius does. And I enjoy the comedy channels as well. There's at least a dozen stations that I really enjoy and another dozen that are very interesting for delving into music I don't know as well like R&B, hip hop and jazz, and the commercials are no problem..just switch to another fantastic channel.
I will gladly pay $10 per month after the introductory period.

Wow... just listened to 17 minutes of Dogs from Pink Floyd's Animals on deep tracks. That song is never played even on classic rock stations anymore.
Almost found myself flash backing with the song on the way home from work.

I must admit I'm hooked. I've been hearing songs that I've never heard on the radio. Stuff I listened to in college that I thought I'd never hear again except on a CD. I just wish I had more time to listen.
If I had the choice, I would have gotten Sirius. It didn't matter enough to have an impact on my purchase, and I am looking forward to having XM, even with the commercials and clear channel influences.
