Correct...the inner lights towards the grill are foglights/driving lights...the projectors that are the furthest away from the grille are our low beams as well as high beams...so ya we have HIDS as our high beams...there is some mechanism inside the projector that just shifts the angle of light or something and that makes it high beam...pretty cool...

Why Is Everyone Knockin' This Mod????

Who cares if BMW's have it...... they also have HID's??... I dont see anyone complaining & ranting about how they hate their HID's b/c other cars have 'em???....

To me, I feel its just a simple mod to customize YOUR TL.... If you dont like it coo, let it ride. As for it being ricey??... To each his own I guess.... This mod adds a bit of class and uniqness to your own TL since its not stock. I SERIOUSLY doubt anyone is going to be thinking "Oh, look at that BMW wannabe!" WTF??

If anything, it's like " WOW!... thats not NORMAL on a TL.... " All you squares on this post, quit your yappin'... keep your TL's STOCK... and let US be different and you be you.

And thats my 4 CENTS.

If you are interested, then you would have to send your lights to Umnitza (in Cali, near San Francisco) and then they would install the demon/angel eyes and mail it back to you...it would probably cost you $100...but that could change once they see the headlights...if it's easier than expected then they will charge you less...if it's more difficult then obviously it will be a little more expensive...

you basically have two options:

if you send your headlights opened (i.e. taken apart) then they could send the headlights back to you in less than a week...possibly even 2-3 days...

if you send your headlights as is (i.e. closed) then they will take about a month to send the headlights back to you...

as a vendor, this might be a good opportunity for you to make some $$$ because if you can replicate Umnitza's ideas, then a lot of people here would probably purchase the items from you rather than them since you have done a great job on other products...it's a great opportunity...

let me know if you have any other questions...

See the problem with the group buy is that they require at least 100 people...now that's quite difficult to accomplish...

however, before we even start thinking about group buy, we really need a volunteer to donate their headlights...let's wait a week or two to see if someone steps up...

if someone in the cali area, near san francisco volunteers then that would be great...then they can possibly get this done in A DAY, or even MAXIMUM 2 days...all they would have to do is take their light off and have Umnitza do the wiring and all and then install it the same day or the next day...

so anyone in the San Francisco area willing to take one for the team? lol...

Hey Jinen,
Who exactly did you talk to at Umnitza? I called yesterday and they told me I had to leave the headlights for at least 2 weeks if not one month??

If it would only take 1 or even 2 days, I'll DEFINATLEY step up as I work in the 925 and I can spare my car for that time.

Lemme know the person you are working with and I'll call him specifically to figure something out...

i would love to give up my headlight but i cant i need them to get home from work... i get off late

i dont think they did a good job with the photo shop, as a matter of fact it sucked, jaydef was much better. what if i posted a dark picture of my car.... at or about dusk? jaydef would you photoshop the pics into something usable? i might even get one with just the parking lights on so we could see what it would look like "as it would be"

i think they would be hot with just the parking lights on, but unnoticable with the hids on.... besides who wants to look at the front of our car with them on... whoa blinded.

sorry bout the bird poop i have already explained that in a previos post, the post asking for a close up pic.... she will be getting a bath tomarrow. and at least these pics started to get the ball rolling

Hey Dogg,
This thread is about giving opinions on headlight modifications ("Demons/Angel Eyes-whatever) Hey man if you want to have these things on your car, knock yourself out. As for adding "class to your TL", Yes "Demons eyes" provide the perfect touch of class for a 34K car. Yr
For us "squares" on the forum that think they look cheap, ricey, and just generally fucked up, let us have our opinion too and freely state that opinion in this thread.

So are we just talking in TL fantasy world here? Or are the Angel eyes for the 3d generation TLs becoming a reality and will be out in the Aftermarket import shops soon?
