It's simple. He can't. He's just not used to handling 270 horseys yet.

to be honest, I could tell on my CRX, Accord, and 2000 TL, but I can't judge VTEC on this TL.

I have been lurking for awhile, and have recently put a deposit down on a TL Auto/Nav Abyss Blue (quartz). I received the paperwork today to sign, and see there is a $2907.30 charge for "smog impact fee"!!! The TL is a ulev 2 vehicle. How could there be such a high price for the smog impact??? When all the fees are added up, I'm looking at a car over $38,000! I really do love the TL, but with an old 1990 Integra for a commuter and a 2000 BMW Z3 M-coupe as my weekend fun garage queen, maybe I should just keep driving the Integra till the wheels fall off!
Also- are any of you quartz or ebony interior folk experiencing any problems with the aluminum getting easily scratch?

I have never heard of a "smog impact fee" in California. I think the dealer is ripping you off. But that's my opinion. I also have a 1990 Integra with over 292k on it. My daughter drives it, and loves the car. She will drive it until the wheel fall off or I'll take it back from her. I will be ordering my Abyss Blue 6mt w/navi next week. Good luck with your purchase.
