Question Will these tips fit 07-08 types S rear bumper

Doing the types-s rear bumper. I have been looking for tips, its cheaper than changing the entire exhaust. I know draztic1011 used porsche tips, unfortunatally for me I cant find them any where. I did find these two.

http://frugalmechanic.com/auto-part/...t-tip-kv160106

http://frugalmechanic.com/auto-part/...t-tip-kv160105

DOES ANYONE THINK THESE WILL FIT? IF SO WHICH ONE OUT OF THE TWO SHOULD I GET?

Neither of those will fit. The overall length is too long. Due to the size and position of the stock muffler, you will need tips which are shorter. Possibly 4-6 inches in length. The porsche tips fit, but i feel they aren't wide enough. Mercedes tips will work as well, but you have to find ones which don't have the inlet on the top. I also was thinking about the 4th gen TL tips, but i think they are welded to the muffler. The only other option there is which was my last resort is buying 4 single tips, and have a shop make a union and then weld it on.

If you get them cut, you will lose the rolled edges.. Plus i dont know what machine can give a nice clean cut. You cant get it cut at the single inlet side because you lose the union and will have no where to weld it to the muffler.

Another option you can have is to take off your mufflers, and straight pipe it, and put any tip you want. If you want to quiet it down, put 2 resonators in before the tips. My brother did this to his CL, but its still a lil too loud for me. But it sounds crazy, better than some catbacks.

i think the ones you got are pretty good. If you see anything online, please do share. i want to have these things picked out before i get the body kit.

Also you made a comment on top on these

http://www.jegs.com/p/Hooker/Hooker-...47674/10002/-1

i think these are a great candidate., The dealer could cut off some of the part they are going to weld to shorten them up..

What muffler did you use? How does it sound? What tips are those. i was considering changing the mufflers too, but i didn't want the aftermarket sound and a lot of drone. I would love a muffler which sounds like a g35.

They are magnaflow mufflers. There was not a brand name on the tips. It does have some drone, but it is under acceleration between 2300-2800 RPMs. If cruising between the RPM range it is not bad. I ride with my windows down a lot, so it does not bother me much. I also have my third cat removed, so if you still have yours in the car, it would not be as bad. I have reduced my gas mileage lately because I enjoy hearing it so much!

I would have to say no. The tip overall width is 7.25". Not 100% but I would say the a-spec lip is only about 6" wide. Most of the quads that have been done required the rear Type-S under spoiler to be installed. There was someone that did quads on the base model, but they were pretty small tips.

The first won't work because the overall length is too long. The Yaris tips may actually work. I dont know the length tho. Plus if they are a little long, it seems that they can be cut and welded. Now I want to go find a Yaris and measure lol.
