To Make a long story short, i put a second deposit down on a certified 07 TLS with 32k miles on it..the price that i negotiated was $23,200. I ended up not getting the car because the original person was able to get a co-signer. Now i've found a couple other TLS that match the same specs but are all listed about 1K higher in price. Can I bring in My Bill of Sale and use this as a negotiation tool? Has anyone had any experience getting a dealer to match another dealers price? TIA

 

I think most dealers will match pricing. granted that the cars in question are very similar.

 

I told my dealer that I could get the A-Spec Lip Kit for $800; that didn't work out well.

I think they will do the best they can to match the price on cars, though.

 

try different dealers. If Delray will sell theirs for such a price, print it out and show them.

Absolutely play dealers off each other. I've done it on the last few cars I've bought. They'll tell you they all own the cars for the same amount, but who cares. This is business, get the best deal you can.

Did they even offer to price match? Mine down here said they would! Maybe if you offer to bring in invoices/ check out screens of OEM parts?

Dealer price match does work. I got an online email quote from another dealership and print it out and went to my local dealership and they were able to price match even though first they want me to pay more.

 

well see here's the thing...i lost the first car. i don't have the opportunity to buy it anymore. the first person was able to get a co-signer. so in theory the dealerships aren't really competing. Basically i'm just going in saying, look if this deal went through this is what i would of paid at the other dealership. Can you match that?

 

Well it worked...got the dealer to come $1,600 and come within $200 of what i previously had...i'll be picking up the car on fri...
