Congrats gatr, that one looks nice. Not silver, but that is a great color. It's a good thing CBP and KBP weren't available for '06, I never would have been able to decide.

Now that I couldn't tell you. I know he's one of the more popular for the kit since he includes shipping in the price.

^^^Yep, I believe so. Killer deal!
Congrats again, man...you're going to be so happy. I love bright colors like KBP etc...but that is hands down the best color to look at, and hide dirt etc...it's mezmerizing. IMO, of course.

My TL-S hasn't exactly worked out in getting me a GF yet anyway, so I may be out in left field speculating about the logistics of having a GF or Wife here -- but it seems people with GFs and Wives spend 1000's of hours per year with them. Why are they all unwilling to "sacrifice" 30 minutes on a Sunday afternoon to explain to their GF/Wife how to use a 6MT? When I was 13 and the guy from Yamaha delivered our dirt bikes, he gave me a 30 second explanation of how to use gears and the clutch -- I was driving it around the yard perfectly 5 minutes later.

Thanks for the info.

^ It's hard to shift in heels?

Good thing my gf already knows how to row her own gears, but haven't driven my car yet.

Thank you parasitis!!!! I learned stick on a 77 corvette when I was about 14 years old, in about an hour. Shoulda found an empty parking lot and an extra 60 minutes...Personally, I don't see the point of spending the extra money on a type S in auto.. It would kill me knowing that the base model 6mt would destroy me!

On a lighter note, the color you got is awesome.. I have AM and I love parking next to your color to see the differences. IMO you got the best color available!!

There's always going to be another car out there that's faster than yours.

I sometimes wish I had gotten a 6-speed but I'm happy with the performance of the automatic. It's my daily driver and it gets the job done just fine

My wife doesn't want to learn to drive stick. Trust me, I've tried. I can't make her learn. I almost went with a manual anyway, but I want to be able to switch off with her on our long road trip this summer.

I tried to let my fiancee drive my car on our first date...because it was our first date, she tried...and she did just fine. But she stalled twice and thought she was destroying my car so she never tried again after that. She gets really pissed when something is hard for her to do so I never bothered again.

She's a south paw, also...and claims it's weird holding (my) knob with her right hand.

My wife will barely drive it, if at all. My work is mostly highway mileage.

Just gotta love this feminist nation ... guys so respectful of what their wives "want", like they are the boss or something. You should put her out in Africa without running water for a few months and see if she still has the nerve to back talk you about manual transmissions.

When I was in China I joked with a female friend asking how she would tolerate it if we got married -- I'd be moving one country to the next and her living situation would be unpredictable. She seemed surprised and explained that the wives need to listen to their husbands and follow whatever they decide lest the order of society completely breaks down.

Just imagine if we wanted to go to war with Iraq and it wasn't allowed until President Obama's wife also 100% agreed on the terms of war. THE WAR WOULD NEVER HAPPEN FOLKS!

A-spec kit

Hey, I actually just ordered my A-spec kit last week from OEMAcuraPartsTim. You can either call him or order online, but the price came out to $734 to my door without any group buy or anything. He was great to work with and the price seems to keep up with even the group buy pricing I've seen in other threads. I haven't ordered from other vendors yet, but I would highly recommend Tim.

Is there any way to get them pre-painted? I have no idea how to paint or where I could get a bucket of NBP

Congrats, you're going to feel like a god being in control of the greatest achievement of the human species by year 2012.

I cruise around on the road and see only 3 types of vehicles: (1) sucking cars (2) try-hards (Mercedez, BMW, Audi, Infiniti) and (3) the jealous (non-Type-S TL's)

Usually slowing down in front of the the #3's to make sure they lust for that Type-S badge. #1's and #2's I wouldn't bother.

I about had seizures when they first let me test drive the thing "OMG this is so high class, OMG how do they let me drive it, OMG this is so high class"... probably scared the daylights out of the dealer dude seeing me seizure behind the wheel
