Will 2008 Acura TL Power Side Mirrors fit on a 2004 TL?

hey everyone,
I wanted to know if i would be able to replace the power side mirrors on my 2004 Acura TL with the ones from a 2008 TL? I really like the look of having the side light embedded in the power mirror housing. The glass on both my exterior power mirrors has that funky brown staining on it (i am assuming it's from water getting into the space between the mirror and backing or something like that) and i want to replace them with new ones. the only issue is i would have to get them painted to the 2004 Blue Pearl color, but that's something i can tackle if i have to.

They should be a direct replacement. You will have to tap the lights into the turn signals.
That brown staining is from leaving the mirror heaters turned on. It would be much cheaper and easier to just replace the mirror glass, if you didn't want the signals.

Yep. It's a direct swap, you just need to tap into your headlight turn signals.

thanks for the quik reply guys! yeah i can also just replace the glass itself, but the "replacement" glass i found online that is heated, blue replacement glass costs as almost as much as buying a new side mirror. i like the look of the blue glass so i'd like to stick with that at least to keep the car looking oem

If you're gonna just replace the glass, consider www.multivexmirrors.com

is it? I didnt have any problems pulling my pass side mirror off to throw some lube inside so it didnt creak (plastic on plastic creaking due to flex, not the reverse clicking problem). Pull door panel off, pull plastic cover over bolts and undo the 3 nuts.

I did it. You have to swap the mounting bolts from the old mirror to the new one. The 2008 mirror bolts are larger than the 2004 bolts. When I tried swapping out the mirrors, they wouldnt go in the holes correctly until I swapped the bolts. Wiring isnt too bad, I believe there is a DIY in the 3g garage.

i was gonna reccomend ebay because thats where i found mine. Mine are also from a RL which fit just fine, but i think the wiring is different. I had a body shop install mine while my car was being repaired from a fender bender. GL with your search!

Can I use 2004 TSX side mirrors on a 2003 TL?

I was looking to upgrade my 03 TL side mirrors to the 03 TSX mainly for the integrated turn signals, is this possible?

Quick question...

By adding 07-08 side mirrors w/the integrated blinkers and wiring them to the turn signals, would this cause any "hyper blinking" problems down the road?

I only ask, because I am researching a DIY wiring for blinkers to the side markers and found hyper blinking to be an issue down the road. I don't know much about electrical loads and wouldn't know if the added wiring for lights in the side mirrors posses similar issues with the side markers.

Thanks!

Yep, I had to do this too. Easy to do, just use two nuts. The first one goes on the stud upside down, the second goes on regular, lock them in place (hold the bottom with a wrench and the top with a socket) and then you can use the bottom as a bolt to remove the stud.

Keep looking on eBay or call around locally to junk yards/auto salvage places. Might find some on craigslist too.

Really? That's pretty cool. Do you know which year RL?

I never experienced this when I had my 07/08 mirrors on my 04.
