I know someone selling their type s exhaust with j-pipe for $300ish and was wondering if it's a direct bolt on to a base? Also is there any notable gains or advantages of doing this? I already have the slant cut exhaust tips welded on but don't mind oem.

Yes it will fit. The Type-S J-Pipe is no different than the Base J-Pipe. No performance gains, only looks and sound.

In order to make this fit, you would also need to get a Type-S rear bumper. You can also get the Type-S rear A-Spec lip and cut part of the exhaust opening on your current bumper to make it fit.

Dang, I just got the A-spec kit, don't feel like doing all that cutting. Fudge!!

Can't you return the base rear A-Spec kit? and get the rear Type-S A-Spec kit? Don't cut your A-Spec kit.

Nah it would be a hassle, thanks tho. I bought these slant cut exhaust tips based on this link https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...ight=%2467+mod
so I would have to spend at least $800 to make this work, not worth it.
