Why is that when I see another TL on the road...

Maybe not 80. But I'd say most people I see in 3Gs are between 45-65 bone stock TLs. There's a few roaming around Maryland with different mods those people I see always wave. And I got waved back at by like a 40yo dude driving a black base so not just a type s thing but I'm sure they are much more excited to see one another. We would all just have to start waving at every tl we see to get a pattern going like the GTIs and jeeps have

I've only ever gotten 1 thumbs up in the TL, from a kid in the back of an Explorer cause I was heavy on the throttle under a bridge. Only once did I stop and talk to someone cause I saw a modded WDP with exhaust, I believe the guy is on here I just never see him post. I see one completely blacked out TL in my area but whether or not they looked at my car I wouldn't know. I've also only ever seen 1 Type S on the road, and 1 at the dealership service department. Other than that somebody down the block from me has a base 07-08 and I maybe see one or two on the road every day. Nothing really special. When I'm in my Impala SS I get thumbs up and offers to buy it left and right. I've actually stopped to talk to a few Impala/Caprice owners while driving my TL and always get crazy looks until I mention something that sounds legit about Impalas. My wife's 07 Impala POS gets more attention than my TL, but mostly cause of the license plate.

I see base TL's all the time on my way to work. Unfortunately like most people here pointed out, they usually include moms... I have only seen 2 Type S since i got my ride 3 months ago, WDP and ASM. Unfortunately they were both parked and i am not going to be waiting next to someone's ride... CREEPIN

for awhile cars will see me at stop they pass me and give me that thumbs up. i like to pass hondas a lot and see if they catch up to me to give the thumbs up. lets me know that everything i have done to my tl was done right. yesterday i saw a white tl with just nice rims i saw it was a younger person then the average tl driver i have seen here in o.c.. i down shifted passed him let him pass me, passed him so he could hear exhaust. i did that like 3 times, then the last time he passed me i got that thumbs up.
if anyone knows a different white tl with black stock rims, that has been around sycamore lanes apartments let me know would be cool to know another tl owner.

Whenever I see another white person driving a car with four wheels I like to catch up to them and gesticulate wildly at them. Unfortunately I never get a thumbs up. Usually just weird looks and occasionally I get the cops called on me.

i havent gotten thumbs up yet but i get stares from usually subaru drivers and civics looking at my rims( black type s rims). i get alot of complements when ever i go to my mechanic. they are like hey, sick car, oh shit its stick shift blah blah.

Living in Michigan, Acuras are rare to begin with (Japanese brands are in the minority, understandably). There's one small dealer about a half hour away, then the next closest would be in the Chicago area.
I get a lot of comments and questions about my car. A lot of people I go to school with have no clue what kind of car it is. Just yesterday two guys in a Hyundai pointed and watched as I drove by. Feels good having an "uncommon" car where I live.

LOL...this is funny.
My wife, 5yr old and 20yr old stepkid - when riding in the TL-S - love to bring attention to other TL/TL-s drivers. It starts with me yelling out
"NBP TL-S SPOTTED..incoming"... so they all roll down the windows and
scream at the guy "whooo hooo TL Type S whoooooo..." and sometimes "whoooo... why u not have type S? whooo hooooo" lol...
i have it on video care of my dash cam..i'll post it soon.
