Why floormat retainer clips on only 2 of 4 mats?

I received my all season floormats. They have one hole on the back right mat and 2 holes on the driver's mat that allows for them to be anchored to the floor. Does anyone know why they only offered them for 2 of the 4 mat locations? Seems strange that they couldn't add them for all 4 positions.

Obviously, they have it on the driver's side so it won't get in the way of the pedals. The rear passenger side has it because the airbag sensor is below the front passenger seat - I guess if that mat slides under the front passenger seat, it might cause a problem.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I know driver's one is to prevent it from intefering with pedals. I think rear right one is cuz it's used more than rear left?

that sounds about right. it's hard to not put feet under the chair though. there is so much room. Even though manual says not to

Thanks for the explanation. I understand why now they provided them for the 2 locations. Seems like they could have given us the anchors for the other 2 seats as a convenience though. My old 3-series had them on all 4, which was quite nice. Oh well, maybe 2007 owners will get them as an enhancement!

Yeah... it would've been nice, but the bean counters are Honda would've never allowed it.

Besides, the spikes on the floormats usually do a good job of keeping 'em in place. My buddy's Saab didn't have the spikes for some odd reason, and they'd get all over the place (esp. the passenger side).
