In Ohio its required but I run without one anyways. The front looks way to nice especially after I found raised letters to go over the Acura name behind the plate.

Texas - I just think the cosmetic appeal far outweighs the fines that are associated with it

then the points against your license may sway you then.... (yes it counts as a defective vehicle, and is 3 points here, i got a ticket just for a covered plate with one of the tinted shields on it)

NY- I tried running without it in the front, but it's required here (as you may know) and having to pay those tickets were annoying. I just have it there and try not to pay attention to it.

needed here, but I just removed mine today. Only time I've heard of people getting tickets is when you're parked. So I glued two magnets to plate and it sticks to the screws that held the plate to the bumper. Those screws are painted blue so they cant be seen from far away. When I park I just hang the plates, remove when driving

Front license not required for PA.

But at the same time, our legal tint limit is only 70%. Go figure.

Yeah, move to FL? I took my dealer front plate off my 05 the day I got it... Looks so much better! Still trying to find the "ACURA" vinyl for the letters, though.

Wisconsin requires one but I've gone without on my last two cars over the past six years. No problems despite getting an annual speeding ticket.

CT requires it, but I don't have it on my car and the only time I get pulled over for it is when cops are bored and have to get their quota. Plead not guilty and they get annihilated.

Kansas not required and it looks so nice with an all black "Acura". Those poor schmucks over in Missouri have to though.

Just FYI, most LEO do not care if you have a front plate or not, however it's a great excuse to pull you over to see if there is anything they can get you for (drunk driving, warrant, etc.)

If you get pulled over for front plates most likely they're just checking for those things.

I haven't had to use my hookup yet but it does suck to have to pay the $25. It would be unbearable if I had to cover up the beautiful front.

CA - Required. I use mine because Honda left a hole in the bumper where the license plate covers, you basically have no choice. However, my mom has driven without a front plate since 1997 and has been pulled over for speeding, headlight out, etc, but they never said anything about the plate.

Required in Ohio, but I've been told as long as it's visible from the front, it's legal. I've been running it suction-cupped to the passenger lower corner of my windshield for almost 6yrs and never been hassled, even when being pulled over for other things.
