So I started my car (2004 TL 76,XXX) and the enginge had an odd whining sound, almost like alternator noise from an aftermarket sound system, I knew it wasn't that, but after driving for a while (15-20 minutes) it stopped and everything was fine. The next time I start the car, it does it again, I notice that everytime I turned my wheel it would be more distinctive, maybe power steering issue? any ideas and home remidies would be greatly appreciated, I looked under the hood wasn't able to find the power steering fluid resevoir.

Sounds like power steering pump.

Try changing out the O-ring. I had the same noise and that fixed it.

I had that whine before the actual S/C!!!
OP, i switched out the little orange O-ring as stated and my pre-S/C whine dissapeared.

^ theres your fix. there a dealer guide on how to fix this as its a known issue.
