Where should I spend my cash
So i have a number of things I would like to do to my car but dont know where to start. I cant do them all at once cause Im hard pressed for cash. So here's the list.
1. Upgrade my intake.
AEM V2 ~$320.00
Now I know the little gains arent worth this much cash but I NEED to replace what I have
2. Add integrated Ipod audio
Isimple ~$180
3. Add integrated Ipod audio w/ video
autotoys video module ~$330.00
4. Slotted rotors w/ ceramic pads. (front&rear)
$600.00+ havent decided what to get, open to suggestions i so tired of cleaning brake dust off wheels every 3 days
5. Upgrade entire exhaust in stages.
XLR8 V2 J-pipe $400.00 to start with cause i can keep OEM cat back until i can afford full aftermarket catback
So where would you guys start?

someone is selling a used factory intake for $50
https://acurazine.com/forums/car-parts-sale-361/3g-tl-parts-sale-835467/
YOU SHOULD START WITH A RV6 V3 J-PIPE FOR $450
why would you spend 400 for a j-pipe? do you know a 3rd cat delete (high flow, or race pipe) costs $150-$300? so all in all you'd spend 550-$700 just to have a J-PIPE and a 3RD cat delete in 2 seperate pieces. when you can get both in 1 for only $450
and yes i saw your post and your SRI. but you would seriously pay $320 for a aem cai? i say NO! DONT DO IT!!! by all means just find a stock oem air intake and buy it and use that money towards something that WILL ACTUALLY MAKE A DIFF!
v3 jpipe $450
upgraded brakes $400-$600
plz dont do stage mods kthx
rear sway bar $150
coils $600-$1000
v3 HFC/PCD $400-$600
ur pulley $200
really man, ~$300 for a aem intake?
I spent $175 for a used injen cai. at the time i liked it cause of the noise, but now that I don't have a job i think to myself "damn i wasted $175" lol. definitely not a power adder.

If you do a lot of driving then my vote is iSimple. You'll use it everyday and will appreciate the ease of controlling your music from the steering wheel. Makes for safer driving too.

It's not necessary but riches v3 has best gains of jpipes and it deletes the third cat. If you don't want to delete it you can always go with your Xlr8 jpipe

J-pipe? Yes.
With deleted 3rd cat? Probably. It will pass a sniffer and it will NOT throw a code. BUT it could be caught in a visual inspection.
OP: J-Pipe. No doubt.
And you use it everyday too.

If you're hard pressed for cash then you should be saving your money instead of spending it on your car. Put it into a good index fund and start making it work for you.

with that said i think ima going to start off with the ipod integration. So i can either get the isimple this week or wait 3 to 4 weeks to save for the autotoys audio and video integration ($300+). Ive already pm'd a couple guys about their used oem intakes. just waiting on responces.

Your car is a Type-S. You have a AUX Input in the center console inside the middle armrest area. Why don't you just use that instead of spending $300 on a iSimple + install?
I don't know...I find it much better using the actual mp3 device to scroll through your music instead of just pressing a up and down button on your headunit or steering wheel. When you got over 16gb of music, being able to flip through it quickly is a must for me. You can only do that by actually using the device.

What ^ said... I use my AUX input all the time and sounds great. I just plug my phone up and use pandora as I drive for live streaming music. It even sounds louder and clearer than using the AM/FM radio or a CD.

I agree the isimple would suck when scrolling through 16gb of music. but the autotoys module has a great interface. Even displays ipod album art. Im using the aux input now but would like to eliminate the need to look down at my ipod. They just passed a new texting while driving law here in MA and half of the people that have been pulled over where scrolling through their ipod's. Its a $100 ticket plus 2 points on your licence.

If you need brakes I would definitely start there. We have some excellent brake packages at very reasonable prices.

Otherwise, if you just want power the AEM V2 and our XLR8 V2 j-pipe are great starters. Both are good in stock.
