ijust bought an 05 tl..live in vancouver..well i was lookn at the brochure and it said the tl has a sunglass holder. i cant seem to find mine...anyone know wher it is? usually its by the rear view mirror..so if anyone knows..let me know..thanx

Look in your door/map pocket. There will be a plastic piece near your elbow underneath your door handle in your door/map pocket.

It's a joke!! Calling this piece of crap a sunglass holder is really a stretch of the imagination. I threw mine away the first week I owned the car. About all it's good for is to make rattles.

I believe it is in the ''map pocket'' in the driver side door. Holds the glasses vertically.

They are in my garage, as they serve no purpose except to rattle and flap about cheesily when you open the door map pockets.

Note to Acura: Do it right, or don't bother at all. This cheesy excuse of a 'feature' undermines so much of a good car. And when you have decided on a proper execution of this novelty, please design the map pocket doors to open and close smoothly. Oh yeah.... and the same goes for the car doors.....

OK, i'll quite while I am ahead.

I just put mine in the console opening below the radio. I figured that's what it was made for. Another alternative is the top storage bin in the arm rest.

Last place is the cup holders. There's a lot of unused space there!


PS. My only compaint with my TL so far is the way the doors open and shut. They just seem to 'choose' where they want to be and can change their mind at any time! Other than that, I love this car!

When I first saw the two sunglass holders I was like WTF! But then when I threw in my Ray Ban on one side and my Oakley's on the other... those two wierd looking pockets worked perfectly for me!

Mine works fine with no rattles, and it's convenient, just not as convenient as the other cars with them near the headliner.

I don't use it because I have a pair of Pradas that I prefer to keep in their case (plus, keeping them in the case makes it easier to switch cars). Haven't removed the thing because I haven't needed the space.
