Where my GIRLS at?

Sorry fella's, this post is for the Ladies.

Acurazine seems to be over run by the guys, but I know there have to be some ladies out there that love their Acuras. Where are you?!?

What do you like best about your TL?

Guys aren't the only ones that mod their cars, so what mods do you have?

================

For me, I love when I step out of my car and everyone is shocked to see that I am a girl. Guys aren't the only ones that drive a TL-S.

I don't have any mods yet. But I'm getting the bug from being on this website.

Here's my "boyfriend"

We've had threads like this before, although they weren't started by any of the ladies. Maybe this one will turn out better than the others, but I doubt it (sorry ).

On the bright side, your car looks great. I'm guessing the repairs are done...hard to see from that angle, but it looks like they did a good job.

I'm hoping the ladies will show up on this tread...

They did a great job fixing the car. I posted the new pictures on this tread, page 2 I think: https://acurazine.com/forums/ramblings-12/anyone-looking-brand-new-phone-183666/

Here!

I agree, whenever I get out, I am always getting looks like they expected someone else... I had some guy ask me if daddy paid for it... I took great joy in telling him that no, I paid for it myself and to f off.. he wasn't too happy...

No mods yet.. plenty on the to do list, though.

As far as what I love most... wow, that's a hard one. I love pretty much everything about the TL-S... I'm still new to it.. as it is to me, so maybe in the future i'll be able to narrow that down.

A bit on the point about the ladies.. I see TLs driven by women a lot and they do't even acknowledge my TL. They aren't into the cars we are, it seems. Heck, I was driving alongside a TL-S yesterday on the freeway, trying to get the driver's attention subtley but she looked over and just looked away.. it's not the first time either.

I am glad to see you 2 ladies on here and that you appreciate your fine rides

See, i'm the exact opposite. If I see another TL, my attention draws to it... It's gotten so bad that I can pick another TL out of a line of cars with no problem. Haha.. And I always wave hi to another TL or TL-S owner.. just because.

But, I get what you're saying.. some people couldn't care less about their TL, much less another TL owner. It's just a car to them... welcome to the 21st century. ha.. sad.

I think the reason you ladies get those looks is 1) most guys don't expect it and 2) it seems all the ladies on here that drive TL/TL-S are pretty cute....they see me and they think, "look at this cholo, driving his mom's car"...

True... but I don't know.. I tend to not think of people as in "mommy or daddy musta paid for it" unless its extremely obvious... (i.e., some kid in HS driving a new BMW). Otherwise, I give the benefit of the doubt.

Yeah.. Not many people are that friendly around here.. I was just raised differently I suppose. I live further south than where I work and when people from my work visit down here to hang out.. or even just people I've met elsewhere.. theyre always like "wow... people are actually nice here"..

And, thanks for the compliment.

Yeah I do the whole wave thing ever since my uncle used to drive a Wrangler and the Jeep crowd does that all the time. It just stuck but when I do that, people give me weird looks. And to TeknoKing....I think most of the guys like the avatar, lol.

It's so funny you say that.. I actually picked the wave thing from the Jeep crowd!! I used to have one.. I used to go to the Jeep Events around here (novajeepers) and even Jeep had it's own sponsored event.. Camp Jeep I think it's called, I went to that...

I would say FL would be a bad location for an east coast meet.. simply because it's at the bottom of the east coast.. I wouldn't drive to FL from VA simply for a meet.. and I am sure (most) from NY wouldn't drive all the way to FL for a meet either... if they do.. let me know, i'll just ride down with you. LOL

But, the idea of an entire east coast meet sounds good... and, I"m glad you'll be at the next skyline meet NixMason... at least I won't be the only girl there.

I've seen a few women on here that drive TLs, but don't post as much. ptk681 still comes to this site even though she had sold her WDP TL that was slammed and had color matched HPE wheels. There's another former WDP TL-S owner who had sold her car for a BMW 335. Not sure if she still comes here or not. And there should be a few more ladies on here, too, who all drive WDP TL-S.

If I see another TL, I just check out the car. If it happens to be a woman, that's even better . . . like that one time I had seen a hottie in a NBP with nice wheels and A-Spec. It would be even better if she was driving a 6MT.

FL?? That's just too far for me. My rule is, if it takes over 6hrs to drive, then I'll fly. So maybe I'll fly down, and hop in the car with someone to attend the meet. Virginia Beach sounds good to me.

Well.. if all you guys are gonna drive.. I'll have to drive too.. we can have a mini-meet prior and then drive down together... I'm sure people will be like WTF when they see 6-10 TL's going down the road behind/beside each other..

If you love your car as much as most of us guys here, you won't see a problem driving that far. The best part about our cars is the joy it brings us when we drive it. How many of you actually go for a Sunday drive in your cars? I hate short trips because it doesn't give me a chance to be in the car long enough to go through all of those gears.

Guys- if you continue talking about a meet, this thread is getting locked with the quickness.

The intent of this thread was to find some of the AZ TL ladies. Let's keep it that way.
