Where did they install the remote starter transponder box?

Hello -

I have an 05 TL with a remote starter that got installed about 3 years ago. Recently it stopped working... the car cranks but doesn't turn over when using the remote. If I stick the key in the ignition and try to start it from the remote it works perfectly. This makes me think its an issue with the transponder box.

Any idea where they could have installed this? The installer mentioned "behind the dashboard" but they can't check out my car for a couple weeks because they are back logged...

Thanks!

The bypass module is attached to the RS brain via wire harness or docked directly into the RS brain. Find the brain and you'll find the bypass module. And yes, it's most likely under the dash on the driver's side.
