Any autoparts store should carry them. Make sure you get the exact same plugs which came with the car. They work better on our cars than other aftermarket plugs.

Care to elaborate as to why? Curious...

Not necessarily. I wish I had the exact NGK model #, but I don't. Just find out what plug it is exactly, and the autoparts store should have them.

BTW, Jay, how many miles do you have on your plugs? Acura recommends changing out your plugs at 120k.

There have been several threads on here with people going with aftermarket plugs which cost 3x more, and getting bad results everytime. I think for some people the plugs wore out prematurely, and for some people they even lost gas mileage.

I don't know which threads they were, but a search should find them!

A quick google search and Part Source database search showed me NGK part #W0133-1631882 to be "exact fit" as OEM sparkplugs.

Gen3 came stock with NGK Iridium spark plugs

there is a different plug heat range for type S motors
The NGK work best in test against othr brands and against the only other approved plug- the Denso brand, which cost more and last less miles

acura may say 120 but thats some crazy dream and you have to read the fine print on the maitenance schedule
Look at the plugs with over 60k miles- do a seafoam treatment and a week later install new plugs
It will run like new
plugs run about 7 bucks each- 50 for a set with a small tube of plug thread anti sieze and 1 foot of vac hose to make the install easier

kragen type stores stock the NGK, check your local parts store
Acura sells the exact same plug for $25 each!

Huh? Best price I've found is $9.99 (at Kragen). This is for the NDK Iridium IZFR6K11.

keep looking at other local stores, check for coupons--
it has been a few years since I did my plugs but had not heard of a price increase
Anyone with a current local price?

nfn-$50 or 60 a set,, not that much differance
Seafoam cost 9.99 now and still worth it~

I bought mine over at Oreillys. I think the total ran me close to 80 for the stock plugs. Autozone doesnt carry the plug for our cars from what I have seen or the ones I have been to. Oreillys has a bigger selection but I dunno if you have one of those where you are at.

Put them in now. If the service reminder tells you that you need to do it just ignore it since you already did the service.

I suggest driving a week after seafoam in the gas tank and manifold/TB-
just to allow all the bits of stuff the gas is still getting loose to go out of the combustion chamber
Dont forget to clean the TB round airflow metering plate- very important and will be crud coated

You can intall the plugs the next day if you really want to,
just pay attention to how it runs- may have to do another burn off drive depending on how well you did seafoam

1st timers should repeat the seafoam vac and gas methods in a month or 2, then good for a year
Wont have to worry about hurting the new plugs on that foaming- they are fresh and will burn off the smaller amount of crud thrown at them
its only an issue on worn out 100k mile plugs

If you only used 1 can of seafoam split among 3 places you need to redo it at max effort/strength and get real results

Gas prices are climbing fast where I live- 4 bucks for 91 ! and its not even 4th of july weekend yet! foam pays you back quick

Did you disconnect anything? there are a few harnesses that hook up to the stock strut bar I would make sure they all are hooked up. I would assume the person that did your fogs ran a separate harness so I would follow the wiring make sure nothing is loose or not connected.

robo- nope! those are the laser platinum ngk according to the description

you want the NGK Iridium

If buying online from major store, do a search for coupons- you never know where 10 bucks is floating around

jay- wait a month after seafoam then repeat the gas tank and vac port methods
Then you are good for a year

That same applies to all first time seafoamers- repeat in a month to get really clean

check out www.seafoamsales.com thats their website and has some interesting variations on how we have been doing it

Well, don't know about the naming semantics, but the part#6994 cross references with IZFR6K11, which is the part # from the service manual (2004 service manual).

So I'd say yes, those are the correct plugs....

And you can get them a bit cheaper on Ebay
