Try not to rev much above 3000 to 3500 if you really want to work on the mileage.

18 mpg combined and 90% of that is short distance city driving with lots of stop signs.
26-28 mpg highway and I'm usually driving 70-80 mph and fully loaded with gas wife & kids and something in the trunk.
(Note that I am a lead foot and to tend to keep the revs up shifting at 4-6K pretty routinely.)

My daily commute is an 80 mile round trip of a mix of stop and go and highway driving. I average about 28 mpg.
The one trip on the car so far was a round trip from New Orleans to Dallas. I kept the cruise control set at 78 mph for most of the trip and averaged 33 mpg! I was able to make the 500+ mile one way trip on a tank of gas, which is incredible. The total trip time was a tick over 7 hours!
Not having the kids in the car for multiple food/bathroom/food/bathroom stops helped immensely.

I doubt if anyone in NY City (Queens/Brooklyn/Mnahattan) would get over 14/16 MPG. For my first tank of gas on my new 06 TL 5/AT, I got 11 MPG probably due to the crazy holiday traffic all over.

I don't understand how some people can get 30+ MPG - they must have 6-speeds? I cruise at between 70-80 (depending on how many idiots are sitting in the fast lane - do like I do, pass on the left and move back over to lane #2 so that faster cars can pass) and average about 25-26 MPG in mostly freeway driving...

I had a 15-mile interstate drive into work today. When I took the ramp off the interstate, my reading was an average 32 mpg (I reset the computer shortly before getting on the highway).
However, my normal average with about 70%:30% city:highway driving is about 23 to 24 mpg.

Agree with you fully on moving back over once you finish passing, BTW.

12 litres per 100 km. At 4.56 litres to a gallon and 1.6 km to a mile thats.....23.75 miles to the gallon in my 5AT based on mostly city driving and a good sampling of miles. That's imperial gallons I guess. On the highway I've achieved 8 litres per 100 kms. That's pretty good.

Daily driven 85 miles round trip for work.
AVG 25mpg, 26mpg after AEM and just did magnaflow cat back system and I am down to 24mpg, but that's because I am high reving to hear teh exhaust. i am sure it will get back up once I grow up.
Avg mph is 42

I just calc the mileage after every fillup. My most recent fillup was 20mpg with a fair amount of time sitting in traffic in SF during one or two trips. The one before that was about 25mpg, mostly freeway driving without traffic at about 75-80. Gas prices don't really mean that much to me since the gas is paid for by my company - but I still wish I got better mileage on the freeway...guess Acura needs a six speed auto.

Sorry I don't know how to post this so that it looks clean. I've only filled up 4 times and I've had 20, 21 and 19 as my MPG with 21, 28 and 20 as my avg MPH.

I wonder what is gonna happen when you change your battery??

I'm just trying to get the MPG and MPH above 21/31 - they've been stuck there for the last 6K miles. Started out at about 19/29 and got better the first few thousand miles, but as noted, no improvement since. Hoping to achieve 22/32 soon since I'm now putting on about 650-700 freeway miles a week.
