No it's not too many miles but be aware the 105K maintenance is coming up and that's the timing belt change. Normally runs between $800 to $1200.

Make sure the tranny shifts smoothly. I'd go ahead and drain the ATF & put in new 3rd/4th gear pressure switches to be sure. Easy job to do and it's not but $125 or so for both. Get that TB done and you'll be good for awhile. I'm at 124k

Unless you are within driving distance of Hamilton Honda -

With old honda's I don't worry about high mileage motor unless there is an obvious issue.
Things like tranny, suspension, mounts, blets etc... are the things I would worry about.

Honda doesn't have a stellar record with their trannys. Not sure why they don't address it once and for all.

It all depends on how u maintain it. My husbands 04 is at 200,000 miles and drives perfectly.my 05 is little over 100, and no probs either ::knocks on wood lol::

Normally that many miles would be a big gamble, but yeah knock on wood these things seem to last. BUT that's if the previous owner (s) took care of their vehicle. I purchased my 05' two years ago with like 96k on it and he took pretty darn good care of it. If you're worried about the major items, maybe take it over to a dealership or a mechanic to have it gone over to ensure the integrity of the car.

I've been running Amsoil ATF for about the last 50,000 miles, when i first switched over i noticed a drastic improvement. Preasure switches i change out every 40,000 miles or so, a little extensive but for around $100 and 20 minutes its worth it in my book. Only major issue i had was the A/C unit. cost me about $1100

See below. But not typical. Problems so far since new: broken cup holder cover, delaminated inside rear view mirror. Nothing else but I am ridiculously obsessive about maintenance. Eg: I've already changed tranny fluid twice, brake fluid twice, coolant flush and replace once. Everything else, including brakes, tires is original.

Might be putting on the market soon. Too many cars. Insurance is killer.

If basic maintenence has been performed, 100k is nothing for the engine. If that 100K is mostly freeway, the trans could be in better shape than a 20k mile TL that's only seen city driving. The TL doesn't really have a huge issue with anything except for the trans and we now know how to make those last just about forever. People complain when the transmissions go out at 100k but that's not bad at all. There are several 5ats with well over 100k. One of our 400+hp turbo TLs had I think 140,000 miles on the original 5at before he finally overpowered it. Many of the small things seem to be just as time related as mileage. Mine has 108k and drives just like the day I bought it with 8 miles on it.

You could easily have 100k miles and have a near perfect car or it can be a basket case depending on the previous owner. But again, the engine is about the last thing you need to worry about. Usually if the car looks to be in good shape, few dings and scratches, interior still nice, they probably cared enough to keep up on maintenence.
