Whats my TL worth
Im looking to get an BMW 335I coupe MT 2007 with about 10 000 miles on it. My Tl is a 2005 AT NBP with 26000 miles. It has Almost the full aspec option, the only thing missing is the steering wheel. Tinted windows 35% all around. K&NN Intake, Pulley and P2R spacer. RonJon Wheels Legends 18" with Bridgestone Potenze RE60 Pole Position(almost new). Type S Lights. Coplete Aftermarket sound system....and some other small things.
what can i expect in a private sale and dealer trade in.

I can't be sure about the numbers in the US market, but try your best to sell it privately. A dealer will not give you anything for the mods or even the A-Spec options.
Sell the car privately, and squeeze the seller of the Bimmer for all he/she's worth.

I bought a 2005 TL with Nav for 15,500 with 58,000 miles. The recession is destroying the resale value of most cars out there. My guess with the mileage would be 17-18. Unfortunately mods don't do anything for resale, I doubt the A-Spec will bring in that much either.
I'm not sure about how BMWs are fairing, but if it is from a dealership wait until Feb 27 or 28th and just low ball them. They will deal if they need another sale for the end of the month quotas.
Good luck. Sorry if it is not what you want to hear. I just sold my 04 4Runner for about $750 below the KBB value and that is actually very good in this economy...

Dude...your mods are worth JACK. Get used to it. Fact is....the car is worth less with those mods to a dealer.
Dont feel bad...you could be me. I could probably sell my car in todays market for around the twenties...like very low twenties....and I have over 50 grand in this car right now.

Just sold my '06 TL auto, no nav, 30k mi, Spec A body kit, and spoiler to a private party for $21k. Only took me 3 weeks. I was thinking maybe 3 months in this market.
Good luck selling your TL. And you'll love the 335i. Just make sure it comes with a transmission cooler.

You'll probably get your car for 19-21k private party. Most people will see your mods and worry if its been drivin rough, and even when you say you didn't they can't always trust you 100% just like we do when we bought our cars.
How much does a 335i go for these days? I know BMW resale value is so low its not even funny because BMW doesn't transfer the factory warranty once sold. And the problem is BMW car are so expensive to maintain, does anyone know if the 335i last long (as in 200k miles like the TL should at least go) I know synthetic is usually required, brake pads are expensive, engine is the best, tranny may have problem w/o cooler, etc..

BMW's are expensive to maintain. No Doubt. Go get an oil
changeon your Acura @ an Acura dealership. Then do the
same with a 335I @ a BMW dealership. The diff will shock you!!

the thing is my first 3g TL was a stickshift...it was 2004 and had couple of problems with it nothing major really and then there was nyc. then at one point my clutch started slipping a little bit. For some of those reasons i went and traded it in for a 2005 AT, thinking i will calm down myself a little and whot not. The thing is nowdays i feel im getting bored with an auto. so i miss that 6speed from time to time. And to get another TL, for example a type s ... i dont know again ?

Mods will only be valuable if you can find a buyer that wants them. Otherwise it decreases the value.
You're better off selling your aftermarket stuff here and putting the stock stuff back on your car before you sell it.
