Whats the difference between the TL's headlights
There's a 2nd gen TL that parks outside on the street all the time and I was wondering whats the difference between our 3rd gen headlights vs. the 2nd gen? From a naked eye, it seems that ours is a lighter blue compared to the 2nd gen whereas its more purpleish.
In terms of specs or power or visability, which one has a better advantage?

For 1, there is a big difference, we have projector lights, they dont (from the factory) That alone says it all. Projectors are used to concentrate the HID's beam directly to the road, and limit the distribution of light above knee level where it could blind drivers and reaches further. The 2gens only have the HID kit on the stock headlamp, its great and all, but its just the reflector distributing the light onto the road, where on some instances may look like you have high beams.
Our HIDs will look different as the projectors move up and down, but other than that, Acura uses 4300k HID kits on their vehikcles, so it should be the same color.

The older HIDs have most likely color shifted to a deep purple. I see a few people driving around in older cars that have changed one of their bulbs. One is white, the other is deep purple. It looks awesome. They probably went to the dealer expecting a $15 part only to find they charge over $100 per bulb. So, when the dealer tells them they should change them in pairs, they laugh.
