I have that as well. Its not bad, just prefer black. If i ever had the money (which i wont) id have everything recovered in alacantara suede in black.

That would look nice.

Yeah when i was looking for my car i was wanting black and finally saw one and maybe it was the condition but it made it look cheap not elegant. I definitely don't like the tan.

I'm waiting for all the home depot lip folks to chime in here...lol

The cheesiest I've done is probably the LED strips in my headlights. I like them, and think they look awesome, but it is still cheesy.

LED puddle lights, had them for literally a few hours. Took me like 2hrs to install and run wires, and about 10 min to remove. What was I thinking! Ha!

I bought double sided "gooey-like" insulator from Sears, stuck them behind the rear license plate, and the rattle was still there...

I have a 12" Sub without any insulation in the trunk = Vibrations, a lot.

$5 isnt bad, i figured it'd be $10+ the way parts prices usually are.

I installed spring spacers in the rear to get an idea of how much stiffer the rear needed to be so I could order custom springs. They basically eliminate one coil at a time to stiffen up the spring. Not something I thought I would ever do to a TL.

They would be right at home on that grandpa's car in your sig.

I did have a shop install my tires the wrong way one time back when one side of the tires would have raised white lettering and the other did not. Looked pretty on my GN.

i paid 18 dollars for that piece of plastic, which also came attatched to the metal piece behind it.

But my cheesiest mod but also cool mod was painting my calipers red and putting a brembo decal on it.

Haven't had the TL long enough to do something cheesy, hopefully I stay away from the cheesy crap. But my last truck (03 Tahoe Z71) I did cheap halo/projector headlights that were kinda cheesy:

I think when I eventually clear out the headlights I'll stay away from the halos because of this, even though I think the TL can pull them off.

What is this home depot lip everyone keeps talking about? I need some pics of this!!! Me would probably be changing my reverse lights to blue LED's. Worked great until I got my windows tinted!!! Then I realized how much of a horrible idea it was!!!

At least you had the right kind of lenses. I was in the left turn lane at a redlight staring across the intersection at a Nissan with a cheap HID conversion with stock lenses. They were blinding so I put my brights on the entire time and let him stare of mine. That's a big pet peeve of mine, cheap HID kits that blind everyone.

In Houston, we have these assholes that lift their trucks with non-projected HID's.
the auto dimming mirror takes care of some of the light. I really feel sorry for the mom's with children, or anybody for that matter who cant see shit in their rear view.

That's even worse! I had a lifted work truck on the highway to work a while back behind me. He had HIDs in the headlight positions along with the foglamp positions. All with the stock lenses. I thought it was going to end in a fight because first I moved my side mirrors so the light would go back at him. This made him tailgate me even worse. I let off the gas and he passed me when I got down to 30mph. I put my brights on behind him most of the way to work except when other cars were coming. I felt like a jerk but several people had been complaining about his guy already.

Speaking of Hi-Beam wars...
I once was followed by an Audi TT [that was slammed] who left his Hi-beams on... I slowed down, switched lanes a few times and speed up. He stuck to me like glue... so I pulled over the shoulder hoping he'd just blow past me. Luckily he did. I then got back on the highway, hit 100km/h as fast as I could to chase him where I flicked (and left) my Hi-beams on. His ENTIRE car [including the interior!] lit up like it was 12-noon. He tried to shake me off but I wouldn't let him go. I was at stock height during this time as well.

That's the great thing about the TL. You can really ruin someone's night with the stock HIDs. You can literally see very detail inside of someone's car like it's daylight.

Blue LED Interior- Although these get me the most comments they feel cheesy to me. People seem to like them.

3000k Yellow HID fogs with Yellow Overlays- Mixed feelings about the fogs. Sometimes I like them and then other times I do not like them.

Plasti Dipped Rear Emblem- I did it in a hurry and it looks decent but still not that good. Have to redo this soon.
