each dealership uses different brands of Oil but I think they are supposed (supposed to being the key word) to use the honda filter.

best bet is to ask them (given that they will tell you the truth)

I bought my oil fiters on ebay from an acura dealer, I also bought oil wrench from the same guy. I use motorcraft 5w-20 syn....There has been hundreds of threads on this subject. Try a search and you will have more info than you will ever need. If you read the threads with Road Rage in them have some Asprin around cause they can get deep.

I use the mobil 1 M-104, its a little oversize from the stock filter, and is one of the best filters made, although its not the best bang for the buck.
I use it because its at every auto parts place.
I use the havoline 5w20 that is recomended by oil experts.

Speaking of OIL/FILTER?

Does anybody use Royal Purple Oil/Fram Filter on their TL? How was it?

FRAM There are better filters for the money.

Don't see anything that stands out in particular about the RP...

Amsoil XL 5w-20 is very good, just get away from the fact that its GrpIII.

Havoline 5w-20 is a very good conventional/blend for a good price.

Amsoil recently reformulated their 0w-30 to a lower viscosity (HT/HS 3.3cp, mid 10cst), and if they have the thickening problem resolved, this oil may become the ultimate oil for the TL for long drains or added fuel efficiency. I guess time will tell...their new SM/GF-4 10w-30 held its viscosity very well for 7000 miles in a supercharged V6, no change from its baseline, quite promising.
