I just wanted some of your comments on what you feel is the best tire to wrap the OEM 18 Acura rims with. Please keep in mind that price is a big issue. I want to start to research a few tires. Please help me out. Also please let me know what size to get. Thanks!

 

The Yokohama AVS ES 100 is widely considered to be the best value in a high performance summer tire, and is OEM Spec for the 18s from Acura. I will be putting them on the 18s in the Spring, and put about 27k miles (including HPDEs) on the set on my BMW.

I believe the 18s are 235/40/18, but they may be 245/40/18. You just want to keep the same overall diameter of the stock tires, so as the rim gets larger the sidewall gets smaller. Whatever www.tirerack.com recommends should be fine.
