What are the standard parts needed for a Type-S clutch replacement?
Over the past two weeks the clutch on my '08 Type S has been slipping, and it has now gotten to the point to where I can barely accelerate onto the freeway. Thus, time to take her to the shop.
I obviously need an OEM clutch pressure plate and disc, and I might as well get the pilot bearing replaced, but how often in these cases does the flywheel need to be replaced? The car has 163,000 miles and counting.
Does it also make sense to have any of the motor mounts changed? I might as well get them done with the subframe dropped. Any other components I should replace while basically the entire underside of the front of the car is apart?
