What loaners have you received?

When you bring your TL in for service what loaners do you usually get? AT or MT?
Does anyone know what loaners does Montclaire Acura offer?

God damn dealer won't give me a loaner. Of course, they see me as a customer and deem me old enough to purchase the car, but not old enough to be treated like a customer. They get the Credit Card info, if I wreck the car, they can charge it all if insurance refuses. I don't really care, I'm not planning on wrecking it. And if I did, the dealer would get it replaced simple as that, either through my insurance or my own money. But they have the right to charge the credit card so I don't see what the problem is. Oh well.

'03 or '04 RL's at the Acura dealership, sometimes an RSX if I ask for it ahead of time.

At the Honda dealer I can get a Civic EX sedan or Accord LX. All automatics.

Got RSX once and TSX like 5 times...both loaners were so dirty and they drive like crap. For some reason I always get "maintenance required" message on the TSX.

I wish they take care of their loaner~

I get my service done at Acura of South Florida. Whenever I have had to "leave" my car for extended service needs I have always had the customer service van take me home. Why you might ask ? ? ?

Every time I have needed a loaner car at Acura of South Florida they require you to deal with Enterprise Rentals. Enterprise does the paperwork on site at Acura but the car is off site and requires you being taken about 2 miles away to pick up the car. So, you have to be shuttled to get the loaner/rental, shuttled back after you return the loaner/rental and it is always a piece of crap loaner!

Because of my work schedule and where I live it is still easier for me to drop the car and then come back but it is still

If this is "Premium" customer service

2003 TL Type-S once, TSX once (with 150 miles on the odo), then 2004 TL twice (400 miles and 5000 miles). All have been autos - there's no chance an official loaner (sold to dealers as a loaner with no price on the window sticker) would be anything but an AT.

as an aside, I'm not sure what the purpose of the diatribe above was, but in most states you have to be 21 or 25 to rent a car. Period.

What I don't understand is if you are too young you can't get a loaner. You can purchase the car you should get a loaner. People pay extra for a car brand so they can get better service.

Given that a loaner is a great benefit, but stepping into a cheap loaner takes away from privilege of being an Acura owner. Pohanka seems to not have enough loaners for everyone, so you have to bring your car in early.

TL 5ATs, all but one time.

That was a TSX, for which they apologized.

Considering that I bought the car elsewhere, I'd have to say they are treating me pretty well.

I'm new to the "NEW CAR" thing. If I take my car to the Acura dealer, do I automatically get a loaner or does it depend on the dealership? I've always taken my old car to XPress Oil before.

If you call and get scheduled with the Service Department for warranty work, they should work with you on a loaner.

For routine service, like an oil change, probably not.

My friend which has a BMW 3 series told me that when he brings his car to a dealership in Manhattan they wont give him a loaner because he didn't buy the car there. Anyone had this happen to them before?

Took my vehicle in for transmission recall work. As usual, dealer had no loaners available. Because recall work involved, dealer paid for a rental Mazda MPV from Hertz.
Dealer usually requires appointment 2-3 weeks in advance in order to reserve a loaner.

what is the age limit to receive a loner? do you have to legaly be able to drive a rental (which is like 21 or something), or are there other conditions.

I have a dealer that is 5 min away from me but they will prb just take me home.
