Am I'm not talkin' about civic we encounter at every other stoplight.. What kind of car always seems to want to race you although it's way out of your league... Mine is that damn Sti...It seems either car (my 08 or 03) they have to try to race me,(from a dig of course) knowing I have no chance...it sucks..runner up GTO's

I never get people trying to race me (I wouldn't though, gave it up years ago) and my G doesn't really look stock either. I get people looking, but no one wanting to race. I'm always amazed by all the people on this site and others that constantly find people wanting to race them while they "were minding they're own business". Maybe once I get my wheels on this weekend people will start trying to race me

^ Most people see an older driver and assume that he won't race. I know this not to be true.

I don't think I have any cars that are way out of my league try to race me... Although once a GTO did try, and while I got him going through a turn entering GG Park, we hit a straight and he was gone. He had followed me from Lincoln Way up through MLK Dr., revving behind me most of the way. I was driving slower because of traffic and the lights, but I guess it was too slow for him.

It must be a bay thing because subies wrxs do it all the time on me. Next is a tie w/ the civics and tCs....always give me looks.. and my car is pure stock form...

Besides the civic..sigh.. I would say the 03 Maxima SEs and the newer BMW 335Is. I am always racing them lol. She keeps up with them though. I was only spanked bad by a Ford Expedition...impossible that it was bone stock. That big bit$% was fast.

What do you drive? Regular WRX's aren't all that fast in stock form. They'll run a solid 14.4-14.5, but only trap at around 93-95 mph. From a roll, a 2nd gen Type-S or 3rd gen Base 5AT would be pretty evenly matched. Shit, take away the AWD from the Evos and Subies and they wouldn't be put up on such high pedestals.

i jus recently ran an sti couple days ago. so i would have to say wrx's/sti. I've been fked around with by an s2k. I smoked him tho, sadly.

U guys think with the 17's on, i can keep up with an sti,stock or evoVIII(non MR)? I've held up REAL good last time i raced this EVOVIII, but he jumped ahead of me before the 3rd honk and once i passed his ass he would throw on the blinkers.. he had an exhaust and i dunno what other mods but it wasn't that fast.

I don't know how I would hold up cuz i never raced them... it sucks because it's never on the highway, its ALWAYS from a dig and you know what will happen AWD v.s FWD sti or not i'll get smoked.. However Dave_B gave some good advice on launching an auto so I'm practicing..

I don't get picked on by anybody because my car is bone stock looking besides the headlight tint / drop.

I'm sure if I put on exhaust / rims / anything visible I'd get a little more attention.

Yea..i've heard of that before... But yea..about two months ago, I walked a WRX..looked modified w/ my stock 2004 RSX-S... from 60-110 he had atleast 4 passengers though LOL so there is some hope.

My friend has a TL auto, I got him to bite one time in my M. I could get him off the line pretty easy. I'm pretty sure he would pull on me on the interstate since my M only topped out at 137. He tells me CTSs try to pick on him the most.

I do get picked on in my little Integra a whole lot more than when I'm in my M3, makes me want to turbo the Teg (or get a B18 swap).

I was at the traffic light just chilling when the red light was on. I was in the left lane and the right lane was empty since the traffic was far behind me. Anyways when the lights are about to hit green and you can tell that by looking at the other traffic lights when it hits amber, I can see this civic speeding up in my side view mirror. And boom when it hit green he just floored it. I decided to go at it caught up to him. He got so pissed and his car was struggling to go ahead of me. I just floor it and left him bus lengths behind and decided to slow down and this guy kept going and does a ricer fly by and I catch up to him and floor it again. The TL manhandled that civic, I love it when that happens.

At the next traffic light we all stop and I pull up beside him and just starred at him, he gave me a nasty stare. The driver was some punk kid with like 4 other gangsters in the car. I wish I had the camera, man you guys should have seen this kids face, it looked like he wanted to rumble with me. Acting all tough. Trying to show off. Geez.

When it hit green I waited for him to floor it and he didn't so I just floored it and left him in the dust.

i dont really get picked on at all. i get alot of people staring, but nobody tries to run on me. nowadays i try not to race, i have too much in my life now that i dont want to fuck with or lose.

btw, ive always looked for you in MH, but i never see you. i was always thinking, one day i would roll up next to you at a light, but it never happened. btw, i dont live there anymore though, only work... at tj's if you know where that is. starting tomorrow, if you happen to see a car like mine, but on oem's... its me, im selling my rims.

eveyone on the road with nice car sti's evo's and they were all a joke to my daily driven 240. Too bad i sold it to sport an 04 tl. This was my beast a month ago.

I could give a $hit how their make is spelled. Car is overpriced, underpowered, slow, harsh ride, sounds weak, and is driven by pompus clowns.

Then when they attempt to race me, or the other 75% of better cars and get walked, they go the the G35 forum for support and comfort, because all is well in that little part of the world for them.

At least the G37 is a little bit better but it will be about 3 more years before the current G35 clowns can afford them and talk the same $hit they do now.

Yeah, it was kind of harsh, but it's so stupid how people with 20k cars think they are so fast, powerful, stylish and they are nothing. I mean my TL is nothing great at all, it's very practical, fun and well equipped. I could care less who thinks they can beat me. Rev at me all ya want, it proves nothing.

Not sure this really qualifies as being "picked on", but I was passing a car on a four laner today at about 65 when I noticed a new style Mustang coming up on me fast. I proceeded to get back over and let him pass and he pulls up alongside and gives me a look, then hits it. It wasn't until I saw the single tailpipe that I realized it was a V6 and I really wasn't about to drop it into third and run him down in the middle of the day, although there was no other traffic on the horizon.

^^ you should've..that would've been funny. I've noticed that the Mustang GT drivers are more modest than the stang v6s...don't know why though.

I don't know what it is, but my guess is that ppl don't know how to drive stick too well. I have an auto and only got spanked by the M5.
