yes!

VQPower37 09-29-2009 08:29 AM

if they have been on the car for a long time ... i would say no, becuz it may have scratched the paint underneath, and i would think u would want to cover those up, but it looks like an 06 so maybe not too much scratching, and everything can be polished out

Bearcat94 09-29-2009 08:31 AM

Paint them WDP.

If you put on A-Spec skirts, you'll have to take them off.

gatoferoz25 09-29-2009 08:36 AM

Ye do it take it off...

tg900 09-29-2009 10:46 AM

I'd go with paint them.

I know on my DD my wheels stick out even with the fender, and driving in rain gets crap ALL over the side of the car. Especially for winter, I don't want to look at salt all over the side of my car just after washing it.

jisleyjr 09-29-2009 02:42 PM

Looks like you are in a area where you don't need to stop rocks or slush and snow/salt from flying up the sides? remove if paint underneath is in good condition.

Turbonut 09-29-2009 02:46 PM

My opinion is to leave them on, as they are there for a purpose.

Timb227 09-29-2009 03:30 PM

Paint them WDP or take em off!

TimTim 09-29-2009 03:32 PM

Utah?....Paint them WDP.

AnthraciteAspec 09-29-2009 03:46 PM

Yeah Utah has snow and stuff so I would leave them and paint them WDP

If you were in SoCal I would say remove them cause we don't really need them here.

Johnny_b 09-29-2009 04:02 PM

Paint them

T0L8 09-29-2009 04:18 PM

Paint or take them off.

Phambam12 09-29-2009 07:43 PM

so i took em off and theres an outline of harden dirt where it used to be. i scrubbed the heck out of em and they still wont come off. how do i remove the dirt?

d-townhakuzo 09-29-2009 08:49 PM

Touch up paint possibly, but make sure it is the exact color code. If you aren't gunna get aspec then paint em wdp and put them back on.

Steven Bell 09-29-2009 09:07 PM

Well, it's unanimous.

Alee:) 09-29-2009 09:17 PM

try a spray for tar. i forgot what it's called but i know it's a red spray bottle. works for me!

Phambam12 09-29-2009 10:17 PM

what about brake cleaner? i know its good for taking off oil and grease stains but what about tough dirt spots?

Burnricers 09-29-2009 11:07 PM

As has already been said a few times, paint them or take them off.

pohljm 09-29-2009 11:22 PM

brake cleaner on your paint?..............bad idea

Uhhhh, No.

Bug and Tar remover might work. A light/medium polish might work.

(Should've painted them. )

Mineral Spirits. Available at WalMart in the home paint department.

odehboy 10-01-2009 07:14 PM

Completely off

KN_TL 10-01-2009 07:52 PM

Scratch-X might work. It's a very light version of rubbing compound. Just tread lightly.

apnorm 10-01-2009 08:02 PM

Paint it. If you don't want to go through the hassle of painting it, remove it.

LoveMyTL-S 10-01-2009 08:40 PM

Tint your headlights and tails to match'em..........:tomato:

gatoferoz25 10-01-2009 08:55 PM

Apologize for this RoN ....

dohboy 10-09-2009 05:14 PM

I'm in Utah too... with all the salt and rocks on the road I'd never take mine off. I'd paint them WDP and put them back on.

Xiomaro 10-09-2009 11:31 PM

leave em and get em painted. wish i had some

Phambam12 10-09-2009 11:39 PM

lol where do i get wdp paint? should i just get normal white errr

TLin401 10-09-2009 11:41 PM

You only really need your mudflaps during the winter IMO.

Take them off though.

With them removed the car looks better even if they are painted. :2cents:

TLin401 10-09-2009 11:42 PM

If you want to paint them WDP then bring them to a body shop.

Xiomaro 10-09-2009 11:44 PM

yep^

have a local paint shop shoot em out for ya.

Phambam12 10-09-2009 11:55 PM

daang how much would that be?

and what does the salt do to ti?

TLin401 10-09-2009 11:57 PM

It would probably cost you ~$75.

Huh?

Same thing it does to the rest of your paint.

Phambam12 10-10-2009 12:20 AM

Danggg 75$?? lol

TLin401 10-10-2009 08:40 AM

That is cheap for paint.

Just go find a body shop, make friends with the owner, and then he will give cheap ass prices when you return to do more body work.

It worked for me.
