Can it be removed using PDR?

If not does the TL have any "special" hoods? By special I mean CF or something? Vented hoods on TL look ugly.

Dsrtne1 09-13-2011 06:31 PM

Possibly. You'd be surprised what they can do. I'd say take it to a body shop that does pdr and ask if they'll do it.

Aretardedorange 09-13-2011 06:32 PM

I called Dent King here in NJ, guy said $400 ballpark. I think you can get a new hood for that much. I was hoping to stay <$200 lol.

vietxquangstah 09-13-2011 06:44 PM

i think there is a carbon fiber tl hood, but its in the 700 range if i remember

here you go

http://www.amazon.com/04-08-Acura-Ca.../dp/B0037G0SGK

might be able to find it cheaper if u look around

$670 + 165 for shipping = ~$830 damn

DaChef320 09-13-2011 06:47 PM

It'll buff right out or go call paypal for advice

vietxquangstah 09-13-2011 06:48 PM

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/04-05...#ht_3374wt_939

$650 SHIPPED new

Aretardedorange 09-13-2011 06:48 PM

I saw a few pictures of CF hood on TL and I think stock hood is better. Unlike other cars the TL has the 2 panels next to the hood so it looks weird with CF then the body panels in the cars color.

300 looks much better then 800 LOL.

Fix it? Why? It adds character.

Lol yep, makes your car look "tough".
And chics dig scars, therefore chics dig dents.

Wow! PDR might work, but I doubt it due to the depth of the dent...Good Luck tho...Let us know how it works out:thumbsup:

Something that big would probably come out but chances of not being able to tell are slim. IMO of course.

av2600 09-14-2011 12:36 PM

is this the car your sister wrecked?

Actually she has a 325xi, this is my car that she was driving. Anyways I ended up buying everything myself. New mirror and all this crap that was torn off from under the car. Spent about $900 all together for the parts then another $600 on labor....the money that was going to be used for aspec kit :what:. Glad the frame was not damaged nor anything else the sketchy body shop was saying.

Only this dent remains and a dent on the bumper. Found a good deal on a hood from a type s and a type s front bumper. I will most likely get that and have them repainted my color. Learned much more about my car during this ordeal and love it much more now lol.

GP your car is looking good! Finally blacked out the headlights LOL, I remember you would always be pondering if you should do it or not.

^anger management eh?

Aretardedorange 09-14-2011 04:44 PM

I have heard those DIY kits do not work and sometimes can make the dent even worse! I would proceed with caution!

tones160 09-14-2011 04:49 PM
