Question What did you pay for your 18's?

What did those of you on here who have already bought them pay for your 18's and did you upgrade them or order them from the factory to get your price? According to the Acura website, the addition of 18" wheels to a base package is only $1,516 when you "build your own" on that site. The documentation clearly states that the Yoko ES100's are part of that upgrade package. Yet my dealer is telling me that he will sell them to me at "cost" of $2,119. Seems "not quite right" but I assume that they are giving some credit for removing the 17s" at the factory. If the dealer adds them, I get the original 17 set back as part of the deal. Anyone doing it via a swap around the lower figures? Thanks in advance...

ndabunka,
The dealers feeding you a line of crap saying $2,119 is cost. You can get the 18's delivered from Ray Lak's acura for $1,185 and the tires delivered to NC from Tire Rack for $604. That puts you at $1,789 and then you just pay for installaiton.

Your cost is now about $300 less than the dealer "cost".

The $1516 price on Acura's site does not include tires. That is the MSRP for the wheels alone. Gotta add the tires and then most dealers will want installation fees as well. My dealer offered me the wheels alone at $1265. According to him that is his cost. I since read about the $1185 price quoted by another dealer. Either way, the wheels alone are about $1200. I want to get the wheels and choose my own tires later. My dealer is fine with that idea.

As I have posted before, I have been told that dealer cost for the 18s WITH the ES100s is $1428.

I will be paying $928 for that setup in the spring, but that is not the norm and don't expect that unless they owe you something.

I was quoted $1,900 by the dealer for the wheels, tires, and installation. When I asked about the stock wheels, they said that would be another $400.

I just bought the wheels off of ebay for $1,100 plus $50 shipping. I will be ordering tires from Tire Rack soon. Not only am I saving on the 18's, but I get to keep the original wheels for the winter.

Exclamation Keep the orginals

Bartman - Of course you get to keep the originals. The 18's are simply a separate order. If your dealer was trying to keep the original (wheels and tires), then he should have also discounted the 18's to about a $1K total cost. Sounds like you were

Almost all the dealers i spoke to here in Los Angeles said they'd give me the 18's with tires (and take away my 17's) for aprox. $2,000. What a jip. Did anyone here in so.cal get a better price than that with their 17's traded in during the deal?
