What color 2008 TL to buy?

I'd like to buy a 2008 TL with navi. I suspect pickings are going to be slim, so I want to try to be flexible with colors.

My first choice is black/ebony. I have owned black cars for the last 16 years and know the work that it takes to keep them clean so that's not an issue for me.

My other two choices would be carbon bronze/ebony or silver/ebony.

I'd like to hear the opinions of others! What color would you pick of the 3 choices and why?

I've been scouting the area. I can't find a 2008 nav white with ebony interior anywhere. Dealer said that those were the first to go.

You may want to look at local inventory and go from there. I did the opposite and got myself disappointed.

I have always liked Carbon Bronze and that grey color I think it's called Polish Metal. I also think that the ebony interior looks the best. I just bought my TL on 9/30 and I felt that I had to be flexible with colors too since it was so late but to my suprise I found a grey and a carbon bronze car to choose from. You mentioned that you liked silver/ebony and I saw a ton of those. Every dealership I went to had at least one silver/ebony TL.

I like my NBP...but like you said its a pain. If thats not an issue go NBP.

If i could go back i would get WDP.

I liked the carbon bronze until i saw it in person. Kinda lacking..

Silver is good but very common.

the NBP is not like the typical black IMO, it looks blue in certain light due to the speckling in the paint. Looks VERY nice when cleaned and waxed

Wow! I'm surprised at all in favor of WDP. Isn't white just as hard to take care of as black? I guess it doesn't matter much since my dealer can't seem to find anything but gold and blue. Those are two colors that I definitely don't want!

White is surprisingly easy to keep clean (assuming you're not constantly driving through dirty puddles). Dust doesn't really show up as long as it's evenly distributed. Just my opinion. My previous car was white. My wife prefers silver, so she gets to drive the silver RDX.

Just my opinion, you probably have to make a decision sooner than you think - the '08s are going fast, and you may not have much choice in color as well.

When I bought my Types S this past August, I actually chose the carbon bronze pearl with the black/silver interior. For me, this is the only color that matches the gun metal wheels that come with the model. Also, the paint looks much deeper after a good polish. My previous '02 Type S came in WDP, and it's also a good color for me, but the paint between the metal and the plastic part of the car, like the bumper, doesn't seem to match, for some reason.

It's a common issue, painting on metal surfaces vs. plastic. The lighter colors just show up more than darker colors.
