My TL replaced my 1993 Toyota Camry V6 XLE (great car!).
I've also had a...
1985 Toyota Celica GT Coupe (my first car)
1987 Buick Century Custom V6 (was my Grandfather's car)
Still have the other vehicles listed in my sig...
The 1999 Toyota was almost a 1998 Honda Accord EX V6 coupe, but the Honda dealer jerked me around. Delivery of the car was delayed so many times, the Solara was on the market by the time I was going to finally get the Accord. I'm happier having the Solara anyway because I preferred its style and interior to that of the Accord.
The TL is the best overall performer of any car I've driven, but reliability remains to be seen. The Camry was the most reliable car I've ever owned, and I'm hopeful that the TL will be just as good.

I have only been driving for 8 years, but I have had some good cars...
1987 Chevy Cavalier (only got rid of because it failed MA inspection due to rust)
1996 Geo Prizm (based on Toyota Corolla...would have run forever...)
2001 Nissan Altima (husband's first car - now owned by my mother)
but...they don't compare to the car my husband and I have now:
2004 TL NBP/Quartz 5AT!!

85 Olds Delta 88 Brougham 2dr - 1st car, cool boat with a V8. Dad bought it off my uncle for $1k, it was near mint condition. Saved my life when I crashed it at 17. I loved that car.
86 Lesabre - Bought for $700 after working all summer to replace Delta.
93 Bonneville - College car, bought with 100k. Kept it as a 2nd car until last year. Sold it with 160k and it was still running good.
99 Grand Cherokee LTD - Cool truck, great in winters, but had quality problems. Only had it for 2 years and traded it for TL
05 TL w/ Nav - 1st new car I ever bought. Lovin it. I plan on keepin this one a while.
