I just leased an 05 TL with navi last week.

36 months
15k a year
1000 down + tax and tags(which came to a total 0f $4157.00)
$437.00 a month

Good luck! I qualified for the "super preferred" rate through Acura financing

Ouch, $4157.00 out the door? What was the other $3157? I know you have a 8.5% tax rate, but that only makes up about $1600 of that money down. What other fees do we have to pay? I was thinking first month, bank fee, and tags($437.00+$450.00+$150 = 1037.00). I am only getting about $3600. I am thinking of leasing the same car, but maybe for 39 or 42 months (whatever the special is). I figured i'd be paying about $450/month with taxes rolled in....

In north carolina?

Are you located in North Carolina?? If so I could be of some assistance. I work for a Acura dealership in North Carolina and would be happy to work you up some pricing.

$17K is a substantial sum of money to be putting down on a depreciating item. To each his/her own though.

no, not a shitty deal, i just couldn't figure out the other $600...I was thinking I could get the car for $425 with NOTHING down (except taxes and fees). 'Maybe' you could have saved the $1100 cap cost reduction. What was your selling price? Seems like TL's in the NY area are about $32.5-$33K with Navi.

Hm... just buy it. Leasing is a waste of money, IMO. And for what? Monthly payments don't see to be significantly lower. My payment is $500/mo with 5yr financing with 7K down.

WEll, your payment is that much since you put $7K down. The guy above put substantially less down and still has a lower payment (by about $50). Also, it depends on your situation if leasing is better than buying. If you can write off the lease, then you are golden. Also, if you flip your car around a lot (every three years), it is a good idea. You purchased a depreciating item, not alway sthe best thing (though I did purtchase my G35 coupe).

Yeah, what he said This was the best option for me. I have my 15k miles a year and I throw my keys at them when Im done. Three years is an awfully long time in one car for me. I love new cars very often. This is my 5th brand new car in 7 years. The other perk about the lease is I don't have to be so anal about the upkeep, being that the pride of ownership isn't there. It may never see more than on good coat of wax, minimal oil changes, and a serious rompiing most of the time. I'm only looking to get 45k out of the car, not serious longevity.

A funny side not, I saw a guy hauling like 12 foot planks in his Honda Accord. These things were diagonal going through the passanger front window and the rear driver side window, totally tearing up the car. I said to him that I was shocked that he was using his car as an old pick-up truck. He laughed and said that the lease was up in a month

well, if anyone knows the exact residuals and money factors, i can give you a lease to the penny. Anyone know that info? Seems as though you can get something for about 400-475/month depending on sales price and if you want to pay the taxes up front or roll them into the lease. It also depends on if you want Navi or not....
