weird rattle or 'thump'

OK, I have read about many rattles, etc, but mine sounds more like a thump. When I turn, sometimes I hear a thump behind me. At first I thought it was just something in my armrest storage, but I removed everything. Its not the rear driver side door, since everything there seems tight. Could it be the infamous read deck lid rattle? If so, does that really sound like more of a thump? Could it be something under the driver seat?

Looking for help....

the rear deck rattle that my dealer can hopefully fix tomorrow is more like a continuous vibrating rattle...like metal hitting hard plastic. I don't think the thump is from the rear deck situation. Good luck w/it though.

If it bothers you alot, you should take your car to the dealer and do a short test drive with a tech or a service guy in the back seat. Be aware, though, they will damage other parts of your car when they attempt to fix/eliminate the rattle.

Good luck!

If it's definitely a "thump" sound, it might be coming from your rear "woofer" speaker. Check to see if the bass is boosted too high. I found my bass was boosted by +5 and it produced a "thump" on certain broadcasts.
