How many have had to deal with a waiting list or special order to get a new TL? I have seen several posts that suggest non-availability in certain areas. My local dealer has 30+ with new ones arriving regularly.

 

The wait is typically for a Nav model, esp. in a popular color.

 

I agree with narnia. I put my deposit down on 11/22 for a Black over Quartz 6Speed/Nav. Build date range is 1/14 - 1/18 with delivery about 2/1. So for the sake of argument 70 days because they couldn't find it in New England. My dealer does have the non-nav in my color as well as about a dozen others.

 

Yep. I put my order in on December 30th for a 5AT Navi NBP/Ebony. I was told that it was going to be 4 weeks before I’m behind the wheel.

Dealers have lots of 5AT + non-NAVI.

Like NBP04TLME, I put my deposit down on 11/22 and still waiting for the build date / VIN # info.

My order for a DM/5AT/Navi was placed on 20-DEC-03. I'm still waiting for my build date & VIN.

I was told at signing that I wouldn't see my car until March (Hopefully, of '04 - the salesperson wasn't specific on that).

Sigh.

 

Ordered Anthracite/Ebony 6MT w/Navi on 12/31/03 Waiting for build date @ VIN. Was told entire process would take 6 - 8 weeks.

 

I wonder if most of the pre orders were either for nav or 6MT?

 

Probably a good mixture of both. The 6MT with Navi seems to be popular. Otherwise I'd suspect auto's with Navi after that perhaps. Otherwise looks like non-navi's could be had very easily.

 

I must be lucky cause the dealer here has exactly the car I want, but I'm not quite ready to buy yet. Black/6mt/nav/tire package. I'm going to the dealer on sunday to talk to the salesguy. He said he'd be willing to deal, since they are having a sale this wknd and are trying to move as much inventory as possible. Another guy on here bought the same car awhile back (same dealer) and got $1395 below msrp. We'll see.

 

Ordered NHBP, 5AT, Navi on Dec. 14th. Expected delivery....first week of February.

 

We had to wait for our Anthracite/Quartz non-Nav. This color combo just wasn't available. Took 30 days to arrive and just came in yesterday. We could have paid less and driven one off the lot before Christmas if the could have settled for ebony.
