Many folks have done a DRL setup with LED's inside the headlight or by affixing a ribbon of LED's to the lower grilles. Some say it's cheesy and somewhat "ricer" because it's copying the Audi design just as so many folks copy the BMW angel Eyes

I did it, I'll put some pics up later. they look nice with the front aspec kit, actually brighter than the headlights. I had them wired with the parking lights and put a cutoff switch under the dash for state inspection. haven't had a problem with them, put them on in december and have pressure washed them a bunch of times.
install wasn't fun though. took the bumper off and had to have custom mounts made along with some quick release clips so I could take the bumper off again without messing up the wiring.
got them from here, the black ones

I emailed lightwurkz about the module you used, and the one the OP mentioned, and asked if they can compare light quality and they had nothing to say.
I thought about going with lightwurkz but using anything short of OEM is a pet peeve of mine; also the modules above mentioned have 6 leds whereas the OEM W212 module has 7, as shown below, giving it a more of an aggressive sharp angle. The OEM module also has fans to cool the LEDs, hence its bulkiness.
