VIN Question
When does the dealer usually get the VIN? My build date was 19-22 (this month) and I called up today and the dealer doesn't have the VIN yet. He said he hadn't got the printout yet but I'm not sure if I should believe that or not. Should he have the VIN yet?

Rallye Acura in Roslyn, New York, Long Island.
I was just asking for average stuff though. I like my dealer, he is a really nice guy, I just want to make sure this isn't the start of a long "I will have it tomorrow" thing.

GaleForce, I remember you're glad to have their service in another thread... Bert handed out all the records and printout. I thought you already got what you need it now on the same day...
DMZ, http://www.acura-tl.com/forums/showthread.php?t=78123, recently just received his VIN, and his car was built almost at the same period. He has waited for 3 months.
Since Acura messes up their own prodcution lines, the delay of giving out the VINs seems very normal... IMO.

Well luckily we got him to put in the contract that the car will arrive AROUND May 6th. I know it won't do much for me, but if it starts to take much longer I would hope he would search on other lots for the car I wanted.
Freaky you remember his name and stuff. Anyway, the service was excellent. I was just afraid this whole VIN thing might happen.
Either way he knows we need the car before a certain date, so I'd hope he would do what he could to get it (short of driving out to Ohio :p).
