For those that bought 04 TL with NAV. Can you post the version # of the Navigation DVD.

You can find it through the menu options (I don't know what are the steps oon the new NAV) or should be able to eject the NAV DVD and teh version should be printed on it.

The old NAV DVD is v2.05b and it has been around since 2001 with no updates. I am hoping that the new TL has the brand new navigation database that has been promised by Acura.

1.03? It looks like a whole new system.... has anybody tried using an '04 disc in an '03 or earlier NAV system?

 

Just some information for you all....I traded up from an '03 Accord EX V6 w/Navi for a 2004 Acura TL w/Navi. The database has increased exponentially with what I would guess is a new and improved DVD, unavailable apparently from Honda's supplier at this time. The more important element that I've noticed, is that this new generation voice recognition driven navigation is extremely fast compared to the '03 Accord's. The voice commands in the Accord seemed to take place at a glacial pace, whereas in the TL, they're almost instantaneous, making the voice recognition that much more of a pleasure to use.

Now...if only they can fix the check engine light that went on at 400 miles.......

Really, what is the approx vin of your TL (you are talking about a TL, correct?)
