UPS says delivered, but NO PACKAGE!!

So i've been tracking an order that i placed with Excelerate for the past few days now. its my Neuspeed supercup kit. Incredibly anxious and very excited to get these things installed. I go to UPS website today and it says it was delivered to my front door at 12:45 this afternoon. I get home expecting to find gifts waiting for me and.... NOTHING! walked around the house, NOTHING! checked with all my neighbors, NOTHING!

I called UPS and they told me to contact the seller. I've got a message out to Excelerate so i'm waiting to hear back to see if he can do anything.

Is there anything else that i can do on my end? whats the proper protocol here?

Mods, if I posted in the wrong place, sorry and please free to move accordingly. I'm just really annoyed right now and seeking some much needed guidance!!

Any help/insight will be GREATLY APPRECIATED!

Either dropped at incorrect location, or somebody walked off with the package.
Don't know why you would contact the seller as it's UPS responsibility for the drop. The seller has nothing to do with the problem unless he sent it insured or a delivery signature being required. If he purchased either of the latter two, UPS will need make good.

Happened to me once before with a digi cam. Luckily it was through amazon, who sent out a new one. Chances are it was a crime of opportunity. Not sure how a smaller vendor will handle the claim. Hopefully he has insurance.

Well thats what i initially thought, but i contacted UPS first and they asked me to have the seller contact them to file a claim do some sort of a "trace."

I'm really not sure how any of that stuff works, but hopefully they get this BS sorted out!

had this happen to me once. UPS contacted the seller and helped resolve the issue. We found out that it was deliver to the wrong place. Contact UPS again and get them to resolve the issue.

Had it happen to me. The package showed up the next day. I think the driver got lazy and scanned everything as delievered so he wouldn't get chewed out for not making all the deliveries that day.

Happened to me once before but literaly saw the punk pick it up at my door and started walking away. Chased him down then called the cops on him. Found out they were looking for him for stealing mail around the neighborhood. I try to get everything insured or have a signature required since then.

Definitely a good ending. Similar thing happen to me, I order a new xbox bundle from amazon last week and it saids it was delivered, but nothing on my doorstep. Then, I look at my neighbor's house, saw a box there, go over and sure enough, it was my package. Stupid UPS fool, not like he never deliver to my house before.

I ordered my Volks with tires from Tire Rack thinking for sure a signature would be required by Fed-X but nope...I get home from work one day and there they are sitting on the front porch. Couldn't believe it.

As a UPS driver we do not mark it as anything until it is ACTUALLY delivered. why waste the time doing so? His package was probably misdelivered and when the OP contacted ups to say he never got it, they tracked it down to where the driver accidently delivered and corrected the mistake. Reading numbers all day can make them look the same. In the end things get fixed.

Glad to hear u got it finally showed up! Jealous

Sorry... but it's not that hard to read an address! Mistake or not, glad it worked out. Dealing with shipping/delivery issues from UPS or FEDEX is a nightmare...

Yep! Fedex, Ups and Usps all SUCK ASS!!!! About 50% of the time when I order something online it is sent to the shipping office for pick up. That is about 25 miles from me and traffic sucks. I mean I paid for shipping to my door damn it! When you call customer service they generally act all nice and say they will take care of the issue but it's just a bunch of bullshit. They don't do anything. Also most of these delivery people drive like shit. They speed like crazy and cut people off all the time. Grrrrr!!!!!!
