Can you upgrade 08' OEM tail lights to '08 Type-S tail lights? if so, is it easy to change? Are there instructions online on how to replace the tail-lights?

 

Yes it is a direct fit. It is farely easy to change as you will have to remove the rear bumper to put it on. Check the 3G garage and you'll get all your information and DIY (Do it yourself) in there.

it is easy, ive changed my 05 tails with the tl-s. easy just time consuming takng off the bumper and such but other then that its simple.

You got your answer but wanted to welcome you to AZ

 

you do not need to take OFF the rear bumper...just the sides and top part to access the two bolts holding the bottom of the lense.

then unscrew and pry back the liner from inside the trunk to reveal the 4 small nuts...unplug the lights...take off car...swap out LED board (unless you're a baller and bought new ones) and install new lights.

An hour job if you have the skill and tools and you're taking your sweet azz time.
