Unleaded in the TL for short period?
In my town I can't really seem to find any premium gas for a while due to the hurricane IKE - so I'm somewhat forced into buying unleaded and I really don't have enough gas to drive around looking for more - for a short term of time and I mean from now until 9/19 to around 9/22 or 9/23 if i fill up 1/4 of my tank with unleaded will it do any significant damage?
[keep in mind: I don't really have a choice, most of the other threads about unleaded gas on this forum are about the cheap aspect and not so much the "i have no choice" aspect]

Keep Right Except to Pass
You'll be fine. I had to do the same thing in rural Nova Scotia in July, so I put in $10 worth of regular to tide me over for a day. No problems at all.

its ok in an emergency- just no racing and keep it under 4000 rpm
the knock sensors will retard the timing to compensate

I should hope you're ALWAYS filling up with unleaded fuel... leaded fuel will make your cats melt :P
I think you mean regular or low octane fuel. Just drive easy until you can fill up with the good stuff again.

Alot of the previous gas threads discuss the pros and cons of putting in regular for short periods of time. Additionally, your question has been answered already in this thread. As a result, this thread is closed.
