Cool Underbody Spoilers - Color and Care Questions

I was looking more closely at my 1 week old 2005 Anthracite TL and it seems to me that the underbody spoilers installed by the dealer are a bit darker in color compared to the car body. I took into account the angle and lighting, but the underbody spoilers all seem a little darker than they should be. Has anyone experienced this?

Also, what is the best way to protect these spoilers? Wash, polish, seal and wax just like the car body?

My bodykit is also a little bit off from the color of the car. I talked to the dealer about it, but its the nature of painting a surface that's not metal like the rest of the car. It hasn't bothered me too much because it seems as if the more I pass my car through the car wash, the more the color blends in. Once the summer comes, I'll probably wax the body kit with the rest of the car.

It's kinda unavoidable. All the non-metal parts (spoilers, bumpers, mirrors) are painted at different times and using different paint nozzle. Even the paint is different because they have to add flex agent to prevent cracking on plastic parts.

Check your mirrors, door handles, etc. They all differ from the body. WDP seems to suffer the worst. This happens on a lot of other makes, too, though.

My SSM TL has over four different shades of silver on it... i've just gotten used to it. The OEM bumpers are a different shade than the Body panel silver, vs. the underbody kit silver ... oh welll. Truly, the WDP is arguably the worst matched color ...

You guys are right. I have WDP and the OEM kit with lip spoiler. The spoiler is the most off. The bumpers are off by about one shade. From a distance you really won't notice it. I've since gotten used to it and no longer pay any attention. Oh well, that's the nature of the beast.
